Verizon x Xbox

Launching a first-of-its-kind partnership.

Verizon leveled up in the gaming world by becoming the first telco to officially sell Xbox. To hype the partnership, we built a 360 campaign packed with real-life NPCs because if we were going to talk to gamers, we had to do it right.

The campaign had everything: a spot filled with gaming Easter eggs, an NPC interacting with people outside Verizon stores, and a Twitch-powered, choose-your-own-adventure stream where viewers controlled pro gamer @AverageJonas in real time. The audience guided him through challenges, unlocked prizes, and ultimately helped him score the ultimate loot—Xbox All Access. The result? A massive response from the gaming community, proving that when you speak their language, they show up.

Taking our NPCs to the streets.

To amp up the hype on the ground, we sent real-life NPCs to Verizon stores to hand out prizes in person. Crowds showed up across the country, turning routine store visits into unexpected, in-game-style moments that genuinely surprised and delighted fans.
